A La La Land Wedding. Colour, dancing, love, beauty and romance… Seriously, what’s not to love?
You’ll browse through these photos and all the details that you’re currently stressing over (table plans, RSVPs ) will fade away as you get lost in their beauty. If you’re browsing the internet looking for beautiful wedding inspiration, or you just like to see pretty things, you absolutely just found it. Oh, and if you haven’t seen La La Land yet, I insist you go and do so (but finish reading this post first!).
This is what happens when you put 5 female wedding suppliers in a pretty wedding venue on a quiet Sunday afternoon. They create magic!
This La La Land themed wedding was a styled shoot that took place at Skylark Golf and Country Club in South Hampshire. You’ll see that the suppliers had a little fun with the La La Land theme and created their own swoon-worthy version of the oscar-winning, Hollywood movie.
Weddings at Skylark Golf and Country Club take place in the beautiful, beam lined, Grade II listed barn which is full of character and charm,
The brides flawless hair and makeup was the work of the very talented Miriam King, who was a driving force behind the photoshoot and clearly has a keen eye for what looks good!
‘I saw la la land at the cinema and was blown away by the vibrant colours and clean, fresh makeup, hair and set design. I thought it would be a great idea for a styled wedding shoot with some of my favourite wedding suppliers!’ – Miriam King
Miriam chose a classic look for the bride’s hair and makeup with a vibrant pink lip.
The bride was thrilled with her stunning look and looked beautiful throughout the entire photoshoot.
The wedding dress was from Glamragzz who are based in Hampshire. Glamragzz are a vintage clothing boutique with everything from wedding dresses to jewellery and even 80’s fancy dress! If you’re after vintage, check them out!
The Bouquet and flower decorations were carefully arranged by the wonderfully talented Sarah Guild of Sarah Guild Floral Design.
‘Following the La la land theme I wanted to create a vintage style posie bouquet that danced with bright colours and texture. Spring flowers like Anemones and Ranunculus nestled with green ferns are just perfect for creating pops of contrasting colour that will stand out in any bridal party.’ –Sarah Guild (Florist).
Next up, meet Betty. Betty is the very charming convertible VW Beetle available to hire from Vinnie’s Vintage Vehicles.
‘Our convertible VW Beetle “Betty” has a fun character and is perfect for brides who want something classic and fun to arrive in on their wedding day. She loves people to have a bit of fun with her too! The La La Land collaboration was an immensely enjoyable experience and Skylark was the perfect venue and one we’ve delivered many bridal parties to in various cars.’ – Vinnie’s Vintage Vehicles
Of course, it wouldn’t have a true La la land feel without some dancing. The bride and groom worked with a choreographer to create these beautiful moves (which make for great photographs!). Hiring a wedding choreographer is the perfect way to alleviate any nerves that you may have for your first dance together as bride and groom. Though it’s also a great way to wow your guests is you fancy something a little more daring! The choreographer behind these elegant moves was First Love Dance Choreography.
Last but certainly not least is the all important photographer. I talk about this A LOT, but this is an area that you definitely shouldn’t scrimp on. You can hire the best suppliers in the most beautiful of venues and spend months planning every detail but without a good photographer to capture it, your special day will quickly become a distant memory.
